Job Description:

Edgewood golf course is a public facility featuring an 18-Hole Championship Course. Edgewood is a full-service facility located in the city of Fargo, ND. The club hosts 24,000-30,000 rounds a year and is consistently voted “Best of the Red River Valley”. The golf shop operations include a full-service retail shop and a fleet of golf cars. The professional staff is known for providing exceptional customer service. The club regularly hosts a vibrant mens league, ladies leagues, and other local tournaments and events.

 This position will assist the Head Golf Professional with the overall day-to-day golf operations including supervising, training, and leading the golf operations team. This person will supervise and manage the total golf operations in the absence of the Head Golf Professional and provide professional services to ensure that the guests have exceptional experiences that exceed their expectations. Other essential responsibilities include:

  • Managing tournaments and leagues
  • Private and group lessons
  • Coaching and managing a PGA Jr League team
  • Club fitting
  • Managing and tracking play
  • Merchandising and inventory control
  • Assist with planning and budgeting the golf operations
  • Managing outside services team, including golf car operations, and practice facility.
  • GHIN handicap system management
  • Club repair services
  • Player development and programming with other departments
  • Play with a variety of members and in competitive and non-competitive golf situations

Experience and Skills:

Must have a valid driver's license

Must be a PGA Apprentice or ready to join the PGA program.



Interested candidates must have a love for the game, a love for the business of golf, and the drive to become a Class A PGA professional (if not already). Must be able to work well with others in a team environment, have great people skills, a wonderful work ethic, and exhibit exceptional professionalism. Work hours include mornings, evenings and weekends.

  • Maintain good standing with the PGA in an active or entry level classification
  • Actively work to complete the requirements of becoming a Class A member of the PGA (if not already)
  • Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, Rules of Golf, and golf operations
  • Act as a role model for all team members by demonstrating an outstanding work ethic and behavior
